Our CompanyVerdyol Plant Research is a wholly owned subsidiary of ErosionControlBlanket.com inc which is headquartered in Riverton, Manitoba, Canada and the Verdyol Plant is in Cookstown Ontario. Verdyol Plant Research started in the early 1980’s by Joe Dol through a licencing agreement with Verdyol Switzerland who had a patent on a hydraulic mulch material made from wheat straw, cotton and other propriotory material. This mulch has been used for over 27 years in Ontario to great success. In 2005, erosioncontrolbanket.com acquired the assets of Verdyol Plant Research and has been building on their initial success of their patented mulch. In 2003, Hydro Quebec specified a hydraulic mulch with peat moss and that was the start of the Verdyol Biotic line of mulches. Today, Hydro Quebec uses thousands of bags a year reclaiming their northern construction projects. Our Biotic Mulch research team includes Soil Scientist Roy Nelsen CPESC, Mark Myrowich CPESC, Susan Parent from Premier Horticultural and Kevin Loucks, Chemical Engineer from EarthChem. Today Verdyol Plant Research along with erosioncontrolbanket.com is a full line supplier of erosion control blankets, hydraulic mulches and straw wattles that we call Stenlogs. We have distribution across Canada, US, and Central America to meet your needs. We are currently looking for distribution partners in other North American and International locals so please contact us to learn more. About Verdyol Plant Research's hydraulic line of products:After construction, soil left for revegetation is often severely degraded and lacks many of the essential organics, nutrients and microbial properties to establish, grow, and sustain effective mature vegetation that can withstand the forces of erosion. The Biotic Earth™ hydraulic line of products are a series of erosion control mulches combined with our specially blended soil amendments of Canadian peat moss, micro nutrients and active Endomycorrhizae inoculants that will help your soil come alive and allow vegetation to thrive even on severely degraded or poor subsoils. When used in conjunction with our specially engineered EarthBound® Soil Stabilizers and Tackifiers, you are also ensured the most effective immediate erosion control on nearly any application. |
"Mark, I have been using your product since we met at the show in Calgary a few years ago. I love it and use all the time. ...there is nothing else like it. For jobs where I use it to replace soil, it’s very cost effective and an easy sell. I try to use it on almost all of my hydroseeding jobs because the results are so good. I have developed an entire niche service around it that no one else does. My new unit works with it flawlessly. Keep up the good work."
